Nuevo plugin for Video.js v 13.0.0 released

After one year, a new major version 13.0.0 of the Nuevo software for Video.js has been released!

A primary reason for launching a major version of the software is a new license system based on a license key. Managing the Nuevo plugin for multiple registered domains by the same user is now significantly easier.

For each new registered domain, the user is not required to download software; he must only enter the license key as an option for the videojs player. The license key is always visible in the client area next to the selected domain name. The list of keys for multiple registered domains is always available to download.

Now about some important changes coming with the new release.

• The share container was extended to display the WatchUp button. The user can now share videos via WatchUp!
• The playlist media item watched last time can now be stored, and when the user returns to the playlist, the player can begin playback from the stored playlist item.
• The audio equalizer was enhanced to be used for multiple media items on the playlist.
• We noticed that if the live stream is paused for an extended period, it usually disconnects, preventing any further playback. Currently, when the live stream is paused for an extended period, it reconnects upon resuming for playback.

The latest update includes several new plugins and an additional advanced skin.

• New gold skin has two versions. The skin features multiple CSS color declaration variables covering the most of the colors used in the player layout. It's easy to edit CSS file and adopt set of colors according to user's own choice. on the Gold skin demo you can find the list of all color variables and test three different sets of colors.
• The News ticker plugin enables you to scroll text news horizontally at either the top or bottom of the player. Headlines and articles are retrieved from the RSS feed. The ticker may feature the present time along with a personalized logo. News headlines and articles can be shown as clickable hyperlinks. Demo is available here.
• The new overlay plugin allows you to generate and showcase multiple text blocks, a single image, and a single video on top of the player at any location and at any moment during the video playback. You can find the plugin's description, code tutorial, and online demo for review here.
• The Audio ID3 Tags plugin supports ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags used to store information about the song, including title, artist, album artwork, release date, and genre. The details are shown in the upper-left section of the player. Furthermore, the plugin is capable of reading and showing possible song lyrics from ID3v2 tags. • The YouTube API player was last updated in 2014. Since then, online video technology has evolved considerably, yet it still allows you to utilize the YouTube API player to a certain degree. As a result, we modified an existing YouTube tech plugin to ensure compatibility with the Nuevo plugin and skin. You can see the result in this demo. The updated YouTube plugin has been incorporated into every plan of the Nuevo software.

As usual, the latest major release includes countless fixes and improvements to existing code of plugins. Currently, we are updating React, Vue, Angular, and Next.js examples on the Codesandbox platform, which may take a couple of days.

The pricing model remains unchanged. However, good information is about the VASTPro plugin. After purchasing it, the user is not required to acquire another license for any additional registered domain!
